Vera Legue

Vera Legue, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020. She was born May 25, 1935 in Macedonia, to Carl and Flora Papalevich. She came to the United States in 1954 and was proud of her U.S. citizenship which she gratefully received shortly after her arrival. She was a founding member of Eastside Grace Brethren Church in Blacklick, Ohio where she taught Sunday school. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who loved the Lord and always put others before herself. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Gary Legue, sister Millie Embaugh, and brother-in-law John Embaugh. She is survived by her son Tom (Martha) Legue, son Rick (Cindy) Legue; brother Gordon Papalevich; 3 grandsons Bradley, Jake, and Brennan Legue; 5 granddaughters, Katie, Alexandra, Kristie, Anna, and Sophie Legue, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at StoryPoint Senior Living, Laurus Care, and Capital City Hospice for the wonderful care, comfort, and unconditional love they gave to Vera. Friends are invited to calling hours Monday, August 3, 2020 from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43232. A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Eastside Grace Brethren Church, 7510 E. Broad St, Blacklick, OH 43004 at 10am with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213.

Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL. In compliance with state and local guidelines, all attendees are required to wear a mask. Attendance will be monitored per social distancing requirements for everyone's continued safety.
