Vicky Lynn Smith

Vicky Lynn Smith, 64, of Columbus passed away at home on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. She was born on November 25, 1951 in Columbus to the late Robert and Ruth (Adair) Carrington. Vicky graduated from Central High School. She was a wonderful homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Kelly; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Marcella Smith; and brother-in-law, Charles Walker. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert "Mike" Smith; son, Stephen Smith; granddaughter, Lydia Smith; sisters, Betty Walker, Linda Atkinson, Debbie (Doug) Bright, and Diann (John) Stadler; brother, Robert (Pat) Carrington; brother-in-law, Patrick (Vicky) Smith; sister-in-law, Teresa (Richard) Hunter and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Family will receive friends 2-5 pm Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., where the funeral service will be 10 am Monday, October 31, 2016. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
