We're here to honor and remember Victor Padilla. He was a father to four wonderful children, a brother who protected his beloved sisters and younger brother, and a son to his parents who thought the world of him.
Every one of us has a special memory of him. Whether it's his bright smile or his love of sports, everything he did was with his humble spirit. He loved the Buckeyes, because he could cheer them on with the family. He loved the New York Yankees, even though he grew up in a house of Mets fans - and he shared that love with his son, Victor Jr. And we all know how much he loved his pup, Negrita.
When it comes to his family, we remember his big heart. His beautiful soul. His comforting brown eyes. No one will forget that smile, it could easily put a smile on your face too. He loved his family with every ounce of himself, and it showed. He was always there with a hug.
He also believed in helping to make the world a better place. As a counselor, he helped people who shared his struggles and hardships, and was able to assist them in achieving their goals of sobriety and safety. It was something he truly believed in.
His sisters share their memories of their brother:
My brother was a humble, reserved, and private person. He had amazing amount of love for his family. He was a genuinely good person and I will miss him deeply. (Jackie)
I'd like to share a little-known fact about my brother. Not many people are aware that he was a graffiti artist in his youth. He painted under the name SIPS, and created a stunning graffiti display for the family. But he also showed his softer through his beautiful landscape paintings. Both of us were painters, and it was our thing. (Janie)
If there was a family gathering, big or small, my brother was there. Especially if it was a Buckeyes game. Family gatherings were where he was his happiest, and it showed. (Tania)
Our lives will not be the same without him. His loss will leave a void in our lives, and we miss him indescribably during family events. But we're comforted in knowing that his memory will live on forever in our hearts. We will see him at the gates of Heaven someday, but until then, we will keep his love in our hearts. Rest peacefully, Victor Padilla. We love and miss you so much.
