

Walter R. Bentley, age 84, of Grove City, OH passed away May 7, 2013. He was born April 17, 1929 in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Jackson Twp. High School, class of 1946 and served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1950-1952, where he fought 13 months in Korea. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Walter worked for 40 years at the Grove City Publishing Co., ultimately serving as owner and publisher. He also worked nearly 10 years at the Boehm Stamp and Printing Company, retiring in 1993. Walter enjoyed countless rounds of golf with his friends at GCCC and Foxfire. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Williams and stepfather, C. Carl Williams; his wife of 37 years, Patricia (1990); daughters, Peggy (5) and Kristie (7); wife of 14 years, Betty Lou (2011); brother, Homer; brother-in-law, Lawrence “Jack” Graul. Survived by children, Raymond (Karen) Bentley, Jeff Bentley and Kathy (Steve) Linnemann; grandchildren, David (Danielle) Bentley and Jennifer Bentley; great-grandchild, Eli Bentley; sister, Mercedes Graul; nieces, nephews, stepchildren, Steve, Terry, Jennifer and Mike, extended family and friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Friday, May 10, 2013 and 9-10 A.M. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where services will be held at 10 A.M.
