William E. “Bill” Bowers, passed away peacefully at his home on October 28, 2013. A veteran of the United States Navy, Bill was honorably discharged in 1973. He earned his MBA from Capital University and was employed with American Reinssurance Co. as an Underwriter. He will be missed by his son, and the light of his life, Jonathan W. Bowers; sister Delletta M. Bowers, Bonnie (Thomas) Green; niece and nephew Amanda and Michael Sisco; best friend Frank Gillespie; and a host of special friends. Bill’s life will be honored with a Memorial Service to be held at 3pm, Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd. in Upper Arlington, where friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. He will be privately interred at St. Joseph Cemetery with his parents, William E. Bowers and Louise White. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Watterson High School, In Memory of William Bowers, 99 E. Cooke Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Envelopes will be provided at the time of service.
