William Marvin "Bill" Burns, Jr., 96, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was born January 13, 1922 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late William and Ada (Bradford) Burns, Sr. He was a proud Army veteran who served during WWII. Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed listening to opera music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Bryan Burns. Bill is survived by his daughters, Gwen (David) Bottger, Linda (Lowell) Dye, and Becky (Tom) Chodzin; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Bill's family will receive friends 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus where the funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Graveside committal and interment will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
