1943 October.  One on the left of photo is T/5 Wm Fry of Plainville, Ohio.  He is second cook on one of the two shifts in our company.  He is 6'1” tall and crazy over swing music.  I pitched a pup tent in St. Lou, No. Afric. A swell fellow.  On the right is T/5 Norman Davis. A North Carolina boy.  Drives truck and jeep, amphibious G.M.C. Truck.  A great fellow and he is always being teased-----he can take it.

       We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  May God be with all of you during this difficult time.  Please tell your mom, Janice, we send our sympathy, too.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Mary Fry and family for the loss of our dear friend and former neighbor Bill Fry. I grew up next door to Bill and Mary and family and really appreciated them as neighbors. Bill and Mary were both always happy loveable people. I can't ever remember a time when Bill didn't have a smile on his face. He was always a joy to be around and a pleasure to spend time talking to. he will be greatly missed by many, myself included. I am sadly disappointed that I am unable to pay my respects to Bill in person due to my job but I can proudly say that he will always hold a fond place in my heart for Bill and Mary as well. Lets not say goodbye to Bill. Lets say keep that smile on your face until we cross paths again. Until then you will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.    Rick and Barb Farrell.

My deepest sympathy to Williams family and friends. May you find comfort and hope in the promise recorded for us in Revelation 21:4 where it says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". All the best wishes for your family at this time. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Mary and Janice, please accept our sincerest sympathy over your loss. I have fond memories of Janice's Dad on his daily walks in the neighborhood sharing his joy for living by passing on his broad smile, a warm greeting, and positive energy. My parents always enjoyed the times that he stopped to visit in their front yard.  In these years of late, they often reflected on those neighborly chats that they so enjoyed.
