For most of his life, Bill was a vehicle body repairman, as well as a mechanic. During his final years, he drove semi-trucks across the country. He loved being able to see different states' scenery, especially the animals. Bill is survived by former wife, Marion Garcia (Zweier); daughter, Chelsea (Cody); son James "Jimmy"; brothers, Tommy and Vincent; nieces and nephews Melissa, Jennifer, John, Charles, Christina, and Joseph. Bill also became a proud grandfather to Emmalee in 2017. Bill's death is preceded by his brother, John "Jackie" Garcia of the NYFD. Bill was an intellectual and loved reading as well as completing crossword puzzles. He showed interest in a range of subjects including cars, plants, and music. His prized possession was his tomatoes that he grew fresh in his garden. He loved the Beatles with many of their songs representing his life. He also enjoyed watching professional hockey and often kept up on the games while on the road.
