William "Bill" Grubb

William “Bill” Grubb, Sr., age 80, of Columbus passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009. Bill was born on March 28, 1929 in Columbus to Arley and Florence Grubb; who preceded him in death. Bill is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ruth; and 4 sisters. Survived by his loving children, Jeff (Kandy), Mike (Judy), Bill (Linda), Mark (Beth), Susan (Will) Presley and Lisa Grubb; 12 grandchildren, Erin, Jeffrey, Greg, Tim, Nic, Sarah, Ashley, Levi, Stephanie, Wilber, Ben and Kim; and 21 great grandchildren. Bill retired after 30 years from the Columbus Fire Department as Lieutenant. He was a member at St. Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and traveling with his family. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a rosary service at 3:30pm at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:30am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43082. Father David E. Gwinner celebrant.
