William L. Hunter “Sonny”, 80, of Columbus, passed away January 19, 2010. He was born July 23, 1929 in Lexington, KY to the late Warden and Margarite Hunter. William is also preceded in death by his son, Mark W. Hunter and sister, Alma May. William is survived by his children, Mickey (Janet) Hunter, Richard (Teresa) Hunter, Billie Jean (Jim) Waddell, John Hunter, William Hunter Jr.; former spouse, Hester Jennings; sister, Jeannette and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving his country during WWII. He loved spending time watching horse racing. There will be no visitation or services.
