

William D. Loughry, 90, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. He was born November 21, 1921 in Saint George, West Virginia to the late Solomon and Ocie Loughry and was the last of 16 children.
Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII with General Patton in the tank division. Bill was the owner and President of Columbus Salvage Pool for 48 years. He loved his family, golfing, fishing, bowling, flower gardening, and puzzles. Bill was an avid OSU and Monday night wrestling fan. Bill will be remembered for his great sense of humor and fondly missed by all who knew him.
Bill will be missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth; children, Jim (Jill) Loughry, Steve (fiancée Lucy Rutherford) Loughry, and Janet (Darrell) Feit; grandchildren, Jennifer (Christopher) Reeves, Brandon (Eren) Loughry, Bryan (Krystal) Cordell, Christine (Drew) John, and Shawn (Kelly) Chapman; and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Drake Reeves; Addyson Cordell; Lucas and Maddison John; and Cierra, Shawn, Brianna, Bailey, Treanna, Landen, and Brody Chapman.
Family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
