William J. Phillips

William J. "Bill" Phillips, age 73, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Laurels of Norworth. Bill was born on January 22, 1941 in Columbus to the late Alva and Lillian (Gix) Phillips. He retired from Marion Franklin High School where he taught shop class. Member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #11, Sunrise Masonic Lodge #783, Triangle Chapter # 591 OES, and the Aladdin Shrine. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything. Bill enjoyed dancing both ballroom and square dancing with the Bucks and Does. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Paulson. Survived by his children, Rebecca "Becky" (Todd) Van Allen, William "Bill" Phillips and Cynthia "Cindy" Phillips; grandchildren, Josh, Nick, Jason, Olivia and Jacob; sister, Marilyn Yeager; many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 with funeral service at 4:00 pm with Rev. Nathan Custer officiating at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Private interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
