William Michael PItts

He was born on Nov. 22, 1958 in Harrisburg, PA to the late William Hamie Pitts and Rachel Ann Pitts-Womack of Bressler, PA. He was baptized and saved as a young teenager. Michael was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA . “Mike” attended Central Dauphin schools and graduated from Dauphin county Vo-tech in Harrisburg, PA. Later he relocated to Ohio graduating from Ohio Institute of Technology, DeVry University.

Michael was devoted to family and work life. He enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends, often driving all night just to make a family event back in PA. He loved taking cruises to places like; Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman’s, and the Bahamas. When he wasn’t traveling he enjoyed movies, listening to music, flying his remote helicopters, and working on computers. One of his greatest joys was watching his daughter’s involvement in the Columbus Arts community.

He was employed by PICS Inventory Specialists and was one of the leading district mangers in his region. A tireless and dedicated worker Mike was previously employed by RGIS. After many years in the Columbus area Mike’s job allowed him to reside in several locations. Most recently; Cleveland OH, Shreveport LA, Pittsburgh PA, Louisville KY, and Maumee OH. He developed many friendships during his relocations and valued these relationships.

Michael was preceded in death by his father William Hamie Pitts and his wife Dorothy (Knight) Pitts. He leaves to celebrate his life his mother Rachel Pitts-Womack, his children Samantha Pitts and Ronald Knight. His loving Fiancé Siobhan Guy. Siblings David (Wendy) Pitts and Paula Pitts. Nieces & nephews Bernard & Aaron Pitts, Wm. Mandel & Linsai Jackson, Angela Ray, Yolanda Phares, Frita Phipps, and Dana Forrest. And countless other relatives and friends.
