William Paul Reed

William P. Reed, Jr. passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Columbus on June, 1, 1932 to the late William and Alberta Reed. William was a proud US Navy veteran, retiring after 22 years of service in 1969. After returning to Columbus he drove a COTA bus for another 22 years. William had a big heart and a gentle, giving nature. His family will miss his love and devotion as well as his love of practical jokes. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lenora; children and step children, Virginia (Ron) Limes, Sharon (Lawrence) Page, Michael Reed, Sheila Walker, Bill Tartal, Frank Tartal, Genene (John) Harris and Lori (David) Nichols; 11 grandchildren. The family would like to thank a special friend; Pastor Jim Meacham for his comfort and support.
