
Zelma Adkins-Bennett, age 75 of Baltimore, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born April 20, 1934 in Sciotoville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry C. and Dorothy (Alexander) Adkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Bertie Riley. She is survived by her children Rebecca (Gill) Mixon, of Baton Rouge, LA, Fred Bennett of Columbus, Sharon Bennett of Trenton, OH and Phillip (Amber) Bennett of Columbus; grandchildren Eve, Heather, Sam and Alex; great grandson Ethan; brothers Harry Adkins of Portsmouth and Stanley Adkins of Sciotoville; sisters Anna (Arturo) Cardenas of Portsmouth and Bonnie Perdue of Marietta, GA; special Love Gene Pegg of Baltimore.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at Community United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pickaway St., Circleville with Pastor Barry Burns officiating. Interment to follow at Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, OH. Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville and 2 hours prior to the service Monday at the church.
