Joseph P. McNally

Joseph P. McNally, Jr., 49, died at his home in Valley Cottage, New York, on September 27, 2013. Born on July 4, 1964, his parents were Joseph and Rita McNally. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jill C. McNally. He is also survived by his sister Joanne McNally, her husband Vincent Quiros and his nieces Jessica Lichtenthal and Sierra Quiros, his sister Karen McNally, his brother Gregory McNally and his nephew Greg E. McNally.

A graduate of Albertus Magnus High School and St. Thomas Aquinas College, Joe followed in his father's footsteps as a highly respected forensic document examiner, training under his father and eventually taking over the family business.

He was a devoted husband who will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his willingness to lend a helpful hand, his calm in times of stress, and the joy and wonderful humor with which he led his life. He touched the lives of all who knew him and his spirit will continue to live in them.

Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 1 from 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Congers, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Road East, Congers, New York. Interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
