Peter Cyrilraj

Peter Cyrilraj of New City, NY, 64 years old, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021. Peter was a lifelong resident of New City. He was born on April 6, 1956 to the late Cyril Raj and late Vijaya Kumari. He married the love of his life, Jomol, and immigrated to the United States in 2002. He was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed long walks in the neighborhood, drinking his occasional glass of Pinot Noir and watching his boys become men. He enjoyed the simplicity of life and his greatest joys came from his family. At every family event, he always made sure to have his camera out to capture all the loving memories with his family. He will always be remembered as someone who continuously went above and beyond for those he cared about.

He is survived by his loving wife Jomol, his sons Ben, Jesson, Aaron and daughter-in-law Ramya. He is also survived by his younger brother Leo, his wife Elizabeth and daughter, Marie, as well as his older brother Prem & his wife Shanti. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Thursday from 8:30 – 10:00 am at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Thursday, 10:30 am, at St. Augustine’s Church, New City, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
