Obituary of Ada Ruth Clark
Ada Ruth (McFarland) Clark, 71, of Connersville died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Reid Health, Richmond. Ada was born to Craig and Mabel (Manning) McFarland on January 8, 1950 in Connersville, Indiana. She attended Connersville High School, graduating with the class of 1967. Ada held several jobs prior to gaining employment at Visteon, from which she retired after 31 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Ada greatly enjoyed needle crafts, especially sewing and knitting. She was a great cook and baker, and is known for her peanut butter fudge and homemade sugar cookies, which she baked with her grandchildren during the Holidays. Ada also enjoyed traveling when she was able. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ada will be deeply missed by all that knew her. In addition to her loving husband, Stanley Clark, Ada is survived by her son: Doug (Heather) Clark, of Connersville; her daughter: Rena Jo (Kevin) Coffman, of Connersville; brothers: Don McFarland and Luther T. McFarland, both of Connersville; sisters: Opal Klopp of Connersville and Kelly Stipp of Portland; grandchildren: Chance Clark and Ambria, as well as, several nieces and nephews. Ada is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Earl McFarland, sister: Eva Chapman, sisters-in-law: Wanda McFarland, Brenda Miller, Donna Philpot, Betty Gregg; brothers-in-law: Bill Klopp, Herschel Hughes, Odel Isaccs, Gary Chapman, Doug Stipp. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Kim McHale officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be to the Fayette County Cancer Society in Ada’s honor.
