Deborah A. Bottorff, 66, formerly of Connersville, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Anchorage, Alaska.
Deborah was born on May 29, 1953 to Charles and Laura Bottorff in Connersville, Indiana. Following graduation from Connersville High School in 1971, she graduated from Indiana University Bloomington. Deborah was employed at Fayette Central Elementary and had owned and operated Pleasant Beginnings Daycare in Connersville. She most recently was a social worker for the State of Indiana before retiring and moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 2010.
Deborah was a loyal member of the Central Christian Church in Connersville, a Whitewater State Park Camp host and served on the Multiple Sclerosis Center Board of Directors in Anchorage. She enjoyed all things outdoors including camping, fishing and hiking.
Deborah is survived by her brother, Greg Bottorff of Cambridge City, a niece and two nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loyal service dog: Bea.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at Dale Cemetery, section K, on Friday, December 6 2019. Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to interment. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
