Melvin Lee Smith

Melvin Smith, age 68, of Conyers, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Horis A. Ward Chapel, at 4:00 p.m., with Rev. Billy Moss officiating.

Mr. Smith retired from Patrick & Benson Grocery after 22 years and then from Southeastern Stages after 15 years of service. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 45years, Shirley Smith; daughter & son-in-law, Wendy & Freddie Cowden; son, Jeffery Smith; son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Megan Smith; sister, Brenda Joyce Buchanan; brother, Gary Smith, sister-in-law & husband, Gail & Tommy Durand; grandchildren, Madison Ansley Smith, Jackson Connor Smith, Andreas Mittler, Alex Mittler, Aline Oosterveld and Danielle Petersen; several loving nieces & nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn & Catherine Smith; brother, Ronald Smith; sister, Glenda Raley and Betty Smith; parents-in-law, Clarence & Evelyn Epperson.
