Mildred Elaine Lewis Mitchell

Elaine Mitchell, age 82, of Conyers, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012, at Horis A. Ward’s Rockdale Chapel at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Dawn Memorial Park in Decatur.

A native of Harrisville, MS, Mrs. Mitchell was a retired registered nurse. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her children: David and his wife Donna Mitchell, Carolyn Mitchell-Hanly and her husband Joe Hanly, Jimmy and his wife Debbie Mitchell, Sandra Mitchell; granddaughter, Mary Beth Mitchell; grandsons Andrew & Christopher Mitchell; great-grandsons Kayden & Ethan; sister, Faye George of TX; brother, H. L. Lewis of MS; and other family in Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Otis Carl Mitchell, in 1990; parents, Davis & Alice Lewis.
