Arlene enjoyed being a part of her community. She played volleyball and traveled with her teammates to tournaments throughout the four corners of Arizona and neighboring states. She enjoyed sharing lunch and participating in the Senior Center, making arts & crafts was a lot of fun for her.
Thrift shopping was a must, buying something for someone and you could always count on some good music to get her up and dancing. Always a joy to be around. Always attentive to all her family and grandchildren. Gardening was a natural for her, growing chilies and making her yard vibrant and colorful, like her.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Alexander Burnette and Amelia Garza; her mother, Rita; her siblings, Anavelia Miguel, Isidro Sabori, Reyna Byler, Belen Ceniceros, Arcelia Myers and Alexandra Ceniceros, and her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; her brother Albert Burnette Jr., and her sisters Evalina Burnette and Glenna Casarez.
A wake for Arlene will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at District Four Multipurpose Building, 2230 N. Homerun Dr., Santan, AZ 85147. A mass will occur Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, AZ-87, Sacaton, Arizona 85147. A graveside services will occur at Saint Anne's Catholic Cemetery.
