Laura proudly served in the United States Navy as an F-14 mechanic, a role that reflected her strength, intelligence, and dedication. She had a creative and curious spirit and loved to draw, read, and watch movies. Laura was a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, had a fondness for horses, and enjoyed playing Mahjong. She had a special love for the color blue and found joy in listening to Queen, watching NASCAR, and spending hours with audiobooks.
Laura was a proud mom who deeply loved her children, and she especially cherished being a grandmother. Time spent with her grandchildren brought her immense happiness and pride. Rarely without a Pepsi in hand, Laura treasured quiet moments at home, particularly in the company of her beloved cats, Smokey and Booboo.
Laura is survived by her children, Jessica and Jude; her siblings, Greg and Jeff Walther; and her grandchildren, Xavier and Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kathleen Walther, and her siblings, Brian Walther and Andrea Matthews.
