Viola Kay Jackson, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. A faithful and devoted woman, Viola lived a long and meaningful life centered on family, faith, and love. She resided in Blackwater, Arizona.
Viola was born on January 5, 1931, in Casa Blanca to Herbert and Dora Jackson. From an early age, she carried a strong sense of faith that remained a guiding force throughout her life. She loved listening to gospel music and attending church, where she found joy, comfort, and community.
Viola had a special gift in the kitchen and was well known for her cooking. Her strawberry crepes and tamales were family favorites that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing her table. Her nurturing spirit extended to every part of her life—even to her beloved dog, “Momma Dog,” whom she lovingly cared for and even taught to pray. Together, they would pray before parting each day, a small but powerful reflection of Viola’s deep faith and gentle heart.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Morago, Belva Wesley, Philbert Morgan, Maxwell Morgan, Robert Morgan, and Judy Morgan; her beloved granddaughter Lucille Torres, whom she raised as her own; her siblings Suzanne Brown, Matilda Johns, and Verona Garcia; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.
Viola was preceded in death by her sons Clifford Morgan Jr., Kevin Morgan, and Jefferson Morgan; her parents Herbert and Dora Jackson; and her siblings Delman Jackson, Byron Jackson, Gene Jackson, Gordon Jackson, Burton Jackson, and Orlito Jackson.
Viola will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving and generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, devotion, and family will live on for generations to come.
