Brenda & Dick, This morning I walked passed the Company Store. It was dark inside and I felt an emptiness in me knowing that I would not be seeing my little buddy standing there to greet me as I went by. I'm so glad that I had the chance to work with her in the store for four years. We had so many good times together as we laughed & cried. She called me a trader for going to work in the cafe downstairs. We still stayed in touch with each other. We went for walks in the building. When challenged, we even walked to the top of Bell Tower to see the view. We laughed all the way up all the floors and we were out of breath and still laughing but the view was great! We were so sore the next day we could hardly move. I loved her jokes. We had so much fun together. I'm so glad I had her as a friend. I will miss her calling me "shorty". Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Connie was the best!

Connie truly blessed our family.  She welcomed both of our sons as employees at The Company Store, and made their experiences enjoyable.  Whether it was gently teasing them about dating or sharing her famous salsa recipe, she treated them with respect and kindness.
