Age 85, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2012. Preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude (Howard) Hanson and her brother, Joe Berge. Survived by loving husband of 58 years, Bob, and daughters, Renee Knowlton, Cindy (Paul) Jacobson, Karen (Steve) Patchen; grandchildren, Brad (Mikandra) Patchen, Molly (Jeremy) Mudick; 7 great-grandchildren who she deeply loved and sister–in–law, Inez Berge. Eileen taught for 7 years in a one room school house to kindergarten through eighth grade students in rural Iowa. Later in life, she spent 25 years of her working career in the assessing department at the Coon Rapids City Hall. She was a member of the Anoka County Historical Society, volunteer at Faith Lutheran Church and at Coon Rapids Senior Center, and as an Election Judge for many years. She will forever be remembered for her delicious brownies and spritz Christmas cookies and her constant love for her family. Service of Remembrance 11AM Wed. 7/18/12 at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11115 Hanson Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association .
