Marge graduated from Paynesville High School and enjoyed playing in the Band and Spelling. After High School she moved to St Cloud and went to work for March Drugs at the Soda Fountain. Then she became a cashier for National Tea at which time she met and married Allen in 1961. She then went to work for Coborn’s Meat Market in East St. Cloud. Barb was born in 1962 and in 1964 Allen’s work took them to Windom MN where Ann was born in 1965. In 1966 Allen’s work took them to St. Paul MN. They sold their Mobile Home in June and lived out of a suitcase until Kathy was born in July. Marge brought Kathy to their new home in Blaine, MN with only a card table as furniture. It was July, 100 degrees and no AC. Not many women could have handled that. While raising their family, she went to work part time for Rainbow Foods. In 1969 Michael was born to be spoiled by three sisters.
After retiring from Rainbow, she volunteered at Unity Hospital Gift Shop. She was active in the St Timothy’s Parish as a Befriender, a member of STARS, The Council of Catholic Women and volunteered for many events at the Church as well. She was an avid and talented quilter. Many family members and friends are kept warm with the quilts she made.
Marge was such a large presence in so many lives. She gave unselfishly, loved deeply, prayed faithfully for others and truly loved life. She will be deeply missed.
