Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ada Johnson; sister, Ethel; brother, Virgil.
Survived by her husband of 53 years, Dean Christensen; son, Michael (Kimberly) Christensen; daughter, April Sandberg; grandchildren, Logan, Brynne, Madison, Reed, Cheyenne, Kaylie; and other family and friends.
Marlene enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Memorial Service 11 am Wednesday 3/2/2016 at Gearhart Funeral Home (11275 Foley Blvd. NW. Coon Rapids) Visitation one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Private interment in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Glaucoma Society, Society of the Blind, American Cancer Society, or Faith Lutheran Church.
