Matthew Bror Skogman

Matt was born on October 15, 1975, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, to Connie Ostendorf and Andrew Skogman. He graduated from Blaine High School in 1994. In 2016, Matt moved to Oregon with his loving wife, Sommer Skogman, and their 11-year-old daughter, Marcella. Together, they proudly owned and operated Midwest Coast Flooring in North Bend, Oregon, for the past 10 years.

Matt was deeply passionate about his work, his community, and, most of all, his family. He loved spending time with his girls, being outdoors, and enjoying the companionship of his dogs. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a loyal friend—someone who showed up, worked hard, and loved fully.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sommer Skogman (Dehn); his children, McKenzie Siverson (Shane), Marcella Skogman, and stepson Kai Zappa; his cherished granddaughter, Oakley Jean; his mother, Connie Skogman (Lenny); his father, Andy Skogman (Elaine); and his grandmother, Rose Skogman. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Archie Skogman; his grandparents, Marcella and Clarence Ostendorf; his aunt, Kathleen Sharber; and his cousin, Cody Ostendorf.

Matt was an organ donor, and through his generous gift, he was able to save four lives and help many others—leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and selflessness.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St, Anoka, MN. Visitation at 10 am with a luncheon to follow. Please wear Purple and Gold to honor Matt's love for the Vikings!
