Nick I wish I could have one day with you. Since we where little I have had a class with you. You are a great man and I would do anything to take your place. Nick was one of my best friends in highschool.  We had the same sense of humor, so every time we were together we'd walk away with a sore stomach and faces from laughing.  That's what i miss most.  I can't call him and joke around with him anymore, I miss you buddy.  Every time Nick and I would talk, it didn't matter if months had gone by, it was like we never got separated. I can't call him for help with my math homework, or text him when I found a new video on youtube.  These may seem like such small things but that's what hurts the most, the little things.  Nick was my competition and the source of my motivation in school.  I was always trying to live up to the grades Nick could bring home.  He was an incredible friend, a stellar student, and one of the best friends i've ever known, I will miss you with all my heart Nick, I Love you.

I miss you my friend.  I laughed until i cried for the first time in a very long time.  Every time an ounce of laughter flows from my mouth I think of you.  I realized every second we were in each ohters company we laughed.  I hope to find someone in my life someday that can compare to the fullfillment you brought to my everyday living.  I believe I have attempted to mask your passing with anger and I hope to soon replace that negative attitude, time will tell. You will forever live and love within me and go as I go.

Looking at this page has brought me to tears! You are a great man that will be greatly missed. When I am looking at all these pictures it just makes me think of all the great times we had together. From prom when you tried to put my flower on upside down and your mom having to step in and help you out. To all the football games and party afterwards. You are such a great roll model to many people, one of them being my little brother. He looks up to you so much! You are a great guy that can never be replaced and that will always have a special place in my heart! I hope all is well and I can't wait to see you again some day!! Hey Nick,
  Sorry it's taken me so long to write one of these, I've just been having a hard time coming up with what seems to be the right things to say.  Nick from the very first time I met you, I knew you were going to be someone special to me.  The first time we met, you were sitting in the back of our study hall class with your head down on a desk laughing at yourself.  I thought it was a little weird and had to know what was so funny.  Turns out you were just listening to Dane Cook on your head phones, but from that instant on you became one of my best friends, and I will always think of you when I hear Dane Cook because, "I don't even care"
   Nick one of the greatest things about you is your ability to love people unconditionally. I don't know how many times you dropped everything to come to my aide. All I had to do was call, and you would be where I needed you to be, no questions asked.  I love you so much and miss you something terrible.  I know you're up there looking down on all of us, and I can't wait to see you again someday so I can jump into your arms and give you our familiar and very missed hug.  Love you Nick.

I remember the days of summer nights, college partying, and our flirty connection ; ) You have ALWAYS been a gentleman to me, from dancing at prom, to taking care of me at parties, and to making an appearance at every birthday since I turned 18! Your humor, wisdom, and caring personality will stay with me forever! We know you are in a better place and some day we ALL will unite again! Nick was actually the closest you can come to a brother even though he was our cousin. I remember him spending the night at our house for weeks at a time when we were younger. He was incredible at video games just like Mike, Joe, and myself. He pretty much had everything in common with me and my brothers. I frickin miss Nick more than anything and wish he could have stayed with us longer. I consider him my brother and always will. The only reason I can handle the terrible feeling of never seeing him again is the fact that I absolutely know in my heart that he is with the good Lord.

im just so grateful that we were blessed to have been able to be so close to our cousins while we were young.. i just wish i coulda told ya how much i loved you and how awesome of a person you were without lookin like a girl hah. but got dang man, you were an honorable guy and thats all you need.. i know where you are and i cant wait to see ya again. i think about ya everyday, miss ya brother..

Nick was one of my brothers best friends, and he then became like another older brother to me. He really cared about people, and I knew that he always had my back, no matter what. I miss him very much.

Nick is one of my best friends and he always will be. I will never forget him and all the great times we had together. Whether it was going out to a movie or going out to a party, there was never a dull moment. You are an inspiration to everyone and you will always be my boy. I miss you so much I wish you were still with us it's hard not being able to see you all the time. I love and miss you bro always and forever!

I knew Nick since freshman year when he was always in my dorm hallway with our buddy Kris.  Luckily I got to know him better when we were both in the same Electrical Engineering classes.  He was always a good friend and there when you needed someone.  My thoughts and prayers are with Nick's family.

I have countless positive things to say of Nick.  Always in a cheery mood which was contagious to all.  He accepted people for who they are and was willing to lend a helping hand with no strings attached.  He was as unselfish as they come and loved to give.  As a classmate of Nicks, I was fortunate enough to have shared fun times with him throughout the years.  However, one thing that wasn't so fun was getting hit by him in football (OUCH!).  Man could he lay a hit.  Another thing that stuck out was how intelligent Nick was, he was always helping others with their homework with the greatest of ease.  I could go on and on.  Nick was truly one of a kind.  

I'm truly proud to have known Nick Owens.

Nick was a friend I'll never forget. Lucky enough to meet him my first year at UMN I was always happy when he was around.  He will be missed greatly.

 I can honestly say that Nick was one of the most genuine guys I have even known. Always smiling, open hearted, friendly to absolutely everyone. I remember last April, I came home for my birthday and sent out a message to a lot of people from high school letting them know where I was going to be that night. Nick was one of only three people who made the effort to come meet up with me. Although I had been in St Cloud the past few years, I still feel as though he and I were just as close as we were in high school. 

Nick knew that I was his afro's biggest fan :) In junior high I tried to learn how to cornrow and he would let me practice on his hair. And as another sign of his kindhearted nature, he would leave the tangled mess in until the school day was over, no matter how terrible it looked. Shortly after we graduated he made a point to let me know the fro was coming back and I was overly excited. 
I cant put into words how terribly we will miss you Nick, but always know that you have left a huge mark in all of our lives and I will certainly keep you close in my memories. I cant wait to see you again buddy.

Angels have jobs to do on earth and in heaven. I think its kind of nice knowing who the angel is thats watching over you.

There are a lot of great memories that I have of Nick. And one in particular I will never forget.
  It was summer time a few years back and our friends and family had a trip planned to spend a nice, long and hot weekend up north. Us couple of kids were just sitting around one afternoon after lunch just shooting the breeze and telling the latest jokes, talking about the newest music out, and just being goofy. Oh,  I should mention, this handsome young man was sporting his HUGE, beautiful, thick, lusious 'fro!!  Us girls got this silly idea to see how many tootsie pops we could stuff into his hair!! We had a count down..1..2..3..and then we were up to about 12 and couldn't believe it! There was still room left!!! So, practically falling over laughing so hard, wipping the tears from our faces from laughing, we kept on going! I believe we got up to about 20 tootsie pops! We had such a good time that day!
  This memory will be one that I will always remember and help give me strength knowing that he is in heaven...proabably doing silly stuff once in a while up there too! I feel very blessed to have known such a wonderful young man! His family as well. Be strong and in the tough times, think back to all of the fun times you shared with your son/ brother. We love you guys!

I am very sorry for the loss of Nick. He was a cherished son, brother, grandson,cousin,nephew, and friend to such a nice Christian family. I'll always remember his genuine personality, his smile, his work ethic, his strength, his kindness, and his sense of respect for everyone and everything around him. Mary Jo, my dear friend, and Sam, you did a wonderful job in raising a fine young man that touched and left an impression on everyone he met. I will really miss him. The world loss one of the greatest guys I have had the pleasure of knowing. Its a sad sad loss, but the Lord has a plan, and thankfully Nick was a part of it. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick through his father.  He always had a smile on his face and was a hard worker.  Nick was very shy and I always told him I was going to set him up with a couple of girls from the church.  That just cracked him up.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Nick was a great childhood friend of mine. We grew up in a tiny town in Minnesota, but always found ways to keep each other entertained through humor, adventure, and learning.
We shared our stories and experiences after leaving high school. Always eager to find out what the other had been up to. I always looked forward to seeing Nick during the summer months and his college breaks. Its going to be tough not having him there to spend time with, but he will always remain in my heart. I will forever remember you Nick.
