Richard Arthur Cournoyer

Born on December 1, 1948 in New Bedford, MA and passed away surrounded by family on May 20, 2024 in Coon Rapids, MN.

Preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Leo and Yvonne Cournoyer; sister, Eileen Fernandes; nephews, Chad Lund, Andrew Bouchard, Michael Lund; niece, Angela Cournoyer. Uncle will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda; siblings, Diane (Joseph Glasner) Cournoyer, Albert (Renie) Cournoyer, Janine (Mike) Rapoza; nieces, Kellie Cournoyer, Heidi Williams, Mary (TJ) Shattuck; nephews, Craig Bouchard, Kyle and Cory Rapoza, Shane Meier; great-nieces, Rylen Cournoyer and Sarah Bouchard; great-nephews, Cole Williams, Joshua Vasconcellos, Nathan Bouchard; brothers-in-law, Wayne and Mike Lund.

Gathering of family and friends will take on place on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 12pm to 1:30pm at Gearhart Funeral Home, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, with memory sharing beginning at 1pm. Memory sharing livestream can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/951338371/100dd30db3?share=copy

Interment at Epiphany Cemetery at 2pm. Following the interment will be a reception at Coon Rapids VFW Post 9625 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard’s name to your favorite military charity.
