Of Elk River, MN, died on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Camilia Rose Care Center at age 94, just one week and 3 days short of her 95th birthday. Born Sivia Irene Kronquist on March 28, 1916 in Douglas, Alaska, her family subsequently moved to Milwaukee, WI, and then to North Minneapolis where her father was a finish carpenter. She married Edward O. Newman in 1936 in Minneapolis and they subsequently moved to Crystal, MN. Edward Newman was owner and operator of the Newman Dental Lab North Minneapolis until his death in 1965. Sivia is survived by her daughters, Kathy Newman and Nancy Oace; grandsons, Tod Oace and Cory Oace; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service 11AM Wednesday 3/23/2011 at GEARHART FUNERAL HOME. 11275 Foley Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
