Mr. Skinner was a native New Yorker. He was born here, and ultimately found his life's calling through his passion for cooking. In his work, he remained in the city, serving many years as Chef for Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.
He leaves behind his beloved mother, Elaine Blake-Skinner; his sister, Alice Skinner-Williams; his niece Francine Holland and her husband, Nelson; and nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him is his father, William Skinner, Sr., and his grandmother, Alice Blake.
The family will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. A Prayer Service will be offered at that time, and the cortege will process to Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
