Elmer Saunders, age 73, resident of Plano, Texas, passed away on Monday April 27th, 2020. Elmer was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Maria Saunders. He moved to Texas in 1982 with his family.
Elmer had a passion for photography, teaching and learning. His extensive travel around the world let him have a wealth of stories and experiences. He loved to try new foods and would take his grandchildren on food “adventures”. He enjoyed being a member of the DFW Michigan State Alumni club and was an active tennis player. Most of all he loved being with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a caring friend, father, and grandpa that could always be depended on to be there for his loved ones.
Elmer is survived by his sister, Sylvia Moylan and brother, Richard Saunders; two children Jeffrey Saunders, Jennifer Jackson; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Saunders, Anya Saunders, Ruby Jackson, Elijah Jackson and numerous other friends and family who will cherish him in memory. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Heart Association.
