

Pedro Madera Alvarez was the 2nd child in a family of 16 siblings. He was born on November 3, 1954 to Jose Madera de la Paz and Adelaida Alvarez Luna in Huejuquilla, Alto Jalisco, Mexico. At the age of 15, he left home to find work in the U.S. and received his citizenship in 2004. He settled in Irving, TX in the late 1980’s. Pete worked many jobs ranging from cowboy to cook and restaurant manager to construction manager. In 1997, Pete began doing business as “Professional Home Repairs” where many of his clients became close friends. In 2000, Pete met Jacqueline and they married in 2001. In August of last year, Pete was diagnosed with brain cancer and the Lord brought him home on July 22, 2014. Pete is survived by his wife Jacqueline, 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Pete loved his job and was always busy. He enjoyed golf and made many friends through the years at his favorite course. Pete was hard working, generous, kind, and he loved to laugh. His life was guided by his faith in Christ and he made many friends at the congregations he attended. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed.
