Ronald Ernest ECKHOFF Jr.

8 August, 19576 March, 2020

The memorial Service has been postponed until a later date.

Ronald Ernest Eckhoff Jr, age 62, passed away in Dallas, TX on March 6th, 2020. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Lisa) for 31 years, and father to Alexandria & Christopher Eckhoff. Ron was born on August 8th, 1957 to parents Ron & Jackie Eckhoff of St. Louis, MO where he was raised with his younger sister, Jackie. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Rolla, and went on to build his career as a successful banker, with the last 14 years as a VP at PNC Bank. His proudest accomplishment though was being a devoted father & husband. He derived happiness from providing for his family, friends & even strangers, always one to jump at an opportunity to help someone else. He was a shining example of strength, integrity, and as his family liked to joke with him, stubbornness. In his spare time he was an avid reader, lover of classic rock & a good cigar, and a life long fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Ron was a devout catholic with a contagious laugh, and will be dearly missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Alexandria, son Christopher, sister Jackie Woody, and many other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Jackie.

The family would like to ask for any memories, big or small, that you may have of Ron be sent to RonEckhoffMemories@gmail.com so the family may preserve and celebrate his legacy.

We all know Ron absolutely loved St. Louis, but I know of another place he lived that could be his favorite place of all time. Ron and his family returned to Texas a few years ago. For the first couple years living back in Texas, all his conversations with me (maybe 1,000 times) would evolve into..."back in ROSWELL, GEORGIA, we did this and we did that." He told me his family lived in a cul de sac, and neighbors / friends would bring out their lawn chairs on the weekends, drink beer (maybe some ice tea too), and and watch their kids play (safely) in the cul de sac. He really cherished those times back in Roswell raising his kids.
