Billie served 30 years in the U.S. Army, which included over 15 years in Germany as a member of the Army Security Agency. He Served in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam. He retired as the III Corps Retention Sergeant Major in 1982. After his retirement he made his home In Copperas Cove and worked as an Adult Probabation Officer for 14 years.
He loved Bass Fishing, Hunting, Collecting Coins, and Collecting Firearms. He always had a strong love for dogs. He had 4 large dogs at the time of his passing. He was a member of the Mt. Hiram Masonic Lodge in Copperas Cove.
Billie is survived by three sons Danny, George and Marcus, several Grand and Great Grand Children. Billie Joe Evans will be Interned at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery on Friday July 18, 2025 at 9am.
