Christine Ellen Mont was born on 9 October 1951 in Flint, Michigan to Eugene Lloyd and Patricia (McCullough) Bentley. She graduated from Fenton High School in 1969 and briefly attended Ferris State University. She then joined the U.S. Army as part of the W.A.C. (Women’s Army Corps). Where she met and eventually married her husband, Capt. (Ret) Eugene M Mont Sr. on 11 February 1972.
In 1977 Chris and Gene moved back to Fenton, MI to raise their family. Where Chris worked in a nursing home and then for the Fenton Ambulance company both as an E.M.T. and dispatcher. Moving north in 1988 to Boyne City to spend time with nature and be closer to her parents. Chris held numerous positions through-out the community in customer service. Always greeting everyone with a smile and a warm hello.
Once both her sons had graduated and moved away, Chris turned her attention to helping the learning impaired and challenged children. Instantly the children and school loved her. Countless children flourished and grew under her guidance and teachings. Her compassion and unweathering patience for her students built strong bonds. Many students remained in contact with her till her passing.
In 2006 Chris and Gene moved south to Central Texas, settling in Kempner to retire. Enjoying nature and the wildlife in her back yard, doing puzzles, and interacting with friends and family. Above all, she enjoyed the quality time relaxing with her best friend, reflecting on the years past.
On 11 February 2022 Chris and Gene celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary surrounded by their loving family.
Christine walked on with the Lord on 13 August 2022 surrounded by that same loving family.
