Donald Joseph Poliquin

Memorial services for CSM (Ret) Donald J. Poliquin, 65, of Copperas Cove will be 9:00 am Friday, September 2, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Poliquin passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at his home.

Donald Joseph was born in Lewiston, Maine to Emile and Cecile Poliquin. He married Wilma Heck in Germany on September 29, 1967. CSM Poliquin served during the Vietnam War and retired after more than 26 years with the United States Army. He has lived in this area for the past 23 years, was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post #582.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Emile Poliquin, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Poliquin of Copperas Cove; two sons, Brian (Rebecca) Poliquin of San Antonio and David (Stephanie) Poliquin of Moody; grandchildren, Joshua, Cecelia, Ashley, Gabrielle, Logan, Dawson, Madilynn and Zachary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
