Dorothy Ann Hill

Dorothy was born on August 16, 1925 to Herbert Guidry and Valerie Mayer Guidry in Gueydan, Louisiana.

On September 14, 1946, Dorothy married the love of her life, Charles Everette Hill, Jr. in Kountze, Texas with whom she is newly reunited in their eternal home.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents Herbert and Valerie Guidry, brothers Tracy Guidry and Ray Charles Guidry and sisters Beatrice Barker and Sadie Dekerlegand.

Dorothy will be forever remembered by her daughters Vera Swaney of Fairfax, Virginia and Debbie Hill of Roanoke, Texas; brother Herbert Guidry Jr. of Auburn, California; granddaughters Karen Martin and her husband Jeff of Fairfax, Virginia, Chery George and her husband Clifton of Lorena, Texas , Tina Stokes and her husband Jarrod of San Angelo, Texas; great-grandchildren Mancil Stokes and his wife Hannah, Michaela Wilson, Whittman Stokes, Collin George, Kyra Martin, Tatiana Martin, Cole George, Kateri Martin, Mackensie Wilson and Clifton King George; great-great grandchildren Graeme, Steeli, and soon to arrive Wade Stokes and longtime best friend who was like a sister, Kay Yaggi.

A visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Copperas Cove on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10 AM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
