Gerald W. Neve

Mr. Neve died May 20, 2012. He was born Aug. 19, 1956, to Vernon (Speck) and Alberta (Peaches) Neve in Brady. He graduated with an associate's degree in electronics from CTC in 1978. He married Cynthia Arlene Becker Neve on June 9, 1984, in Austin. He was the work leader of the Electronic Equipment Repair Shop of the Department of Public Works at Fort Hood for 29 years. Mr. Neve had many interests outside of work, including assistant chief for the Kempner Volunteer Fire Department, assistant Scout Master of Troop 90 in Kempner and a dedicated member of the Emmaus Community for 14 years.

Mr. Neve was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Cynthia; two sons, Jeremy Neve of West Des Moines, Iowa, and MM3 Jacob Neve of the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C.; one grandson, Jonathan Neve of West Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Brenda Rumbellow and her husband, Graham Rumbellow, of Georgetown, Claudia Brown and her husband, Dean, of Garden City; two nieces; Laura Keiner and her husband, Ed, Christie Morgan and her husband, Todd; one nephew, Bradley Brown and his wife, Heather; one great-niece and two great-nephews.

Visitation is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, with a Vigil Rite from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, which is in charge of arrangements.
