Howard K. Bennett was born August 26th, 1945 in Nocona, TX. He passed away Tuesday June 2nd, 2020 in Killeen, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years Patricia Ann Bennett and his daughter Lorraine Bennett. He is survived by his daughter Rosaline Bennett-Jackson (Michael Jackson), his two grandsons Justin Jackson and Devon Sullivan, along with his Great-grandchildren Keagan and Chase.
Howard was a family man and married “his only one” Patricia Wasierski, on September 21, 1968, while stationed in Hawaii. He served, honorably, with the US Army for 20 years and retired at the rank of CW3. Howard served two tours in Vietnam, and then took his family too many of his other duty stations which included Massachusetts, Korea, California, Germany, and Texas. Howard’s final duty station was at Fort Hood, Texas, where he retired in 1983.
After his military retirement, Howard obtained a Master’s degree in Agriculture and Biology, and taught high school for several years. He then went back to school and became a Physician’s Assistant and worked in the Texas prison system until his retirement in 2020.
After Howard became an “empty nester” he enjoyed traveling, with his wife Patricia, and by himself. Many trips were made to Las Vegas in addition to Vietnam, Egypt, Italy, Scotland, and Ireland, to name a few.
Howard lived a full active life. He was loved by family and friends, and will be missed immensely.
