Michael H. Belle, age 59, passed away at home on Saturday, May 9, 2026. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on June 22, 2026 at 10:30 AM at the

Michael was born on January 17, 1967 to Sieghilde Gibbs and Harold Lloyd “Jack” Gibbs in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Michael graduated from Frankfurt American High School in 1985. Out of high school, Michael joined the ARMY in 1985 where he dedicated 32 years to proudly serving our country and supporting his family. He married Kari D. Belle on October 28, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. In 2016, they settled in Copperas Cove, TX after his last duty station in Ft Benning, GA. After ten duty stations and three deployments, on August 25, 2017, he retired from the ARMY as Command Sergeant Major. Throughout his time in the ARMY he continued on with his education and obtained college credits from Barstow Community College and graduated with an associates degree in nursing. After his time in the ARMY he spent 6 years working with GardaWorld overseas. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling, and most of all loved spending time with his four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father; Harold Lloyd “Jack” Gibbs, and his wife of 31 years; Kari D. Belle.

He is survived by his mother, Sieghilde Gibbs; brothers, Harold W. Gibbs, Kenneth Gibbs; daughter, Brittany Arpin and husband, Brandon; sons, Spencer Belle and wife, Alix, Tyler Belle; and four grandchildren, Cadence Arpin, Mavis Belle, Arietta Arpin, Theodore Belle.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Puppies Healing Heroes where Michael’s service dog, Sissi, was obtained.
