Myrtle Blackstock departed this life peacefully the morning of Thursday January 29, 2015. Myrtle was a longtime resident of Gatesville, Texas where she practiced nursing. Myrtle was preceded in death by her four loving sons Calvin, Edwin, Donald, and Nathan Hempel. Survived by her brother, 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Myrtles greatest passion was her family. She will be greatly missed. The family will hold a life celebration gathering in her honor on Sunday, February 15, 2015 starting at 1:00 pm.
