Nancy later married Richard Gallagher and the couple had two children: Dolleen who married Ray Vasquez of Copperas Cove and Kathleen who married Michael Ebers of Belton. Nancy went on to adopt Richard’s son Michael Gallagher of Clearwater. Being a military family the couple traveled all over the US and Germany. Nancy loved her family and was a supportive military wife always volunteering for so many different causes and events.
Nancy went on to marry John Hammonds and welcomed his two children into her family. They just celebrated their 40th anniversary. She is preceded in death by Jeff Hammonds and survived by Mykel Holohan. Nancy grew up in a blended family and raised a blended family. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Nancy especially loved her role as grandma and great grandma. She enjoyed baking and spending time knitting baby blankets for local hospitals.
Nancy is survived by her grandsons Justin Vasquez; Matthew Vasquez; Alex Gallagher and Dawson Hammonds. She is also survived by her beautiful granddaughters Lilly Ebers; Emily Martinez; Jennifer Gallagher and Katie Holohan as well as her great grandchildren Noah Vasquez, Sadie Gallagher, Hayden Gallagher and Roman Gallagher.
As her family comes together to remember and celebrate her life they encourage all those who read this to take time to be with your family. As Nancy would say, “family is everything” and she was blessed with one who adored and loved her so much.
