

Olethea Fay Reese Allen, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday 9th of February 2024 in Copperas Cove, TX. She was born on April 14, 1961 in Morehead City, NC, the second child and first daughter of Levi Richardson Reese and Constance Hester Reese (Washington).
Growing up in a coastal town instilled into Olethea the love of the beach, fishing, crabbing and collecting seashells.
Olethea married Calvin Allen Sr. in North Carolina and moved to Rome, GA where she raised 4 children.
Olethea earned her General Education Certificate and subsequently her certificate to began her career as a nursing assistant/caregiver. A job she loved until her own illness prevented her from continuing.
As a young adult, she was an award-winning bowler who really enjoyed the thrill of competition but everyone knew her love of NASCAR, particularly #24 Jeff Gordon, was her favorite sport. She had hundreds of items in her NASCAR collection.
Olethea will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She adored her nine grandchildren and had a heart for fur babies as well. Her faith in God gave her strength in difficult times and she is now holding His Hand. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Faye will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Olethea Fay Reese Allen was preceded in death by her nephew, Levi Richardson Reese III.
She is survived by her parents Levi R Reese, Sr of Copperas Cove, TX, Constance Washington of Selma, TX, her children, Calvin Allen Jr, Constance Fay Allen, Marcus Allen and Carrie Allen all of Rome GA, her nine grandchildren, Desmond and Ethan Whipple, Jacob, Faye, Anyla, Zariyah, Isaiah, Maykla and Ava Allen of Rome GA, two brothers, Levi Reese Jr of Lake Charles LA, and David Reese of Jacksonville FL, three sisters, Constance Ellis and husband Jeffrey of Selma TX, Barbara Reese of Harker Heights, TX, and Penny Reese of Copperas Cove, TX and a great host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family extends an invitation to join them to celebrate her life on Thursday, 22nd of February at 12 noon-2pm at the Phantom Warrior Lanes on Fort Cavazos, TX.
