Sherlie Ann Lofton, 87, of Copperas Cove, TX left her earthly home for her heavenly one on Saturday, Jan. 18th at 11:30 a.m. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
Sherlie’s passion for Christ’s love could always be felt in her hugs. No matter where she lived, she worshipped and served the Lord. She taught Sunday School from her Hish School years at Kendrick’s Ferry to her 86th year at First Assembly of God, Copperas Cove. Her service to God led to a myriad of different jobs. She was a loving mother and foster parent, a Christian bookstore manager, a teacher, a Daycare Director, and always a prayer warrior. As a military spouse for 30 years, she attended colleges in Germany, Panama and Texas. She enjoyed her family and friends, going to church, studying the Word, gardening, and art. Since 1980 1st Assembly of God in Copperas Cove has been her church home.
She is survived by her children Brelan Lofton, Jr., Deanna Thompson, Timothy Lofton, and Tina Broadus and their spouses, children and their children’s children.
A Funeral Service for Sherlie will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10AM at First Assembly of God, 2205 FM 3046, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. Following the funeral service will be a Committal Service at Rock Church Cemetery, Kempner, TX 76539.
