My dearest Bestestfriend Aunty Mulu, where do I begin? I think about all the memories we’ve shared. I think of my childhood. You and the late Tinā Faavaefou showed us “Tough love” growing up. At the time I thought you were super strict and even scared me at times. Lol. But that’s because you wanted the best for us girls. Sunday school and Aoga Samoa you made sure we knew how to conduct ourselves, made sure we knew God & our Samoan identity. As we got older…we got the more “tender” side of you. Lol. The last couple of years have been a blessing. It all has. As I look back now I understand the tough love and I’m forever grateful for it. My sweet aunty, I am going to miss your smile,laugh, and endless love. Thank you, Faafetai lava. My heart will forever miss you. But until that one sweet day…I’ll hold those memories&teachings close. Growing up, Mama Mulu was always my safe space within the church family. Her unconditional love and regard gave me the quiet confidence to take risks -  knowing that even if i failed,  she would be waiting with open arms and words of comfort (and spicy words for anyone who was unkind to me - lol). Thank you Mulu for instilling a love of God in myself and so many other children who sat in your Sunday School class. Thank you for leading by example in word and in deed. E le galo lou alofa moni.
