Chief Tim Molnes

Tim was born November 3, 1957 in Nuremberg, Germany to Harold and Eugenie Molnes.

Tim married Tracy Stephens June 23, 1979 in Copperas Cove at Grace United Methodist Church.

On January 7, 1980 Tim joined the Copperas Cove Police Department and thru his career was promoted until reaching the position of Chief of Police in July of 1999. He was a dedicated Chief and friend to the entire City of Copperas Cove.

Chief Molnes enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, raising cattle and chickens, old Country Music and spending time outdoors.

Tim was a beloved husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his wife Tracy of Copperas Cove; two daughters, Kayla Flewelling and her husband Brien of Rio Rancho, NM and Erin Molnes and her fiancé Eric Woodruff of Copperas Cove; a granddaughter, McKinley Woodruff of Copperas Cove; his father and step mother, Harold and Marlene Molnes of Copperas Cove and a brother, Terrey Molnes and his wife Brandi of Huntsville, Texas.

The Molnes family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5p.m.-8p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at Lea Ledger Auditorium at Copperas Cove High School. Interment services will follow with full police honors at Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
