William H. Keller

William Horace Keller Jr. was born on February 15, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas. After a full and happy life of 90 years, God welcomed him home on February 28, 2013. Bill married the love of his life Mary Juanita Foster on September 10, 1945 and they were blessed with 67 years together. Bill was an Officer in the Army and traveled all over the world. In 1960, Bill and Juanita made their permanent home in Copperas Cove , TX , where they lived for more than 50 years. While in the Army, Bill was part of the last active Horse Calvary Unit. He retired from the Army in 1961 and went on to work for 20 years in Civil Service at Ft. Hood, Texas. Bill and Juanita raised four wonderful children. Bill's favorite pass times were spending time with his wife and kids. He loved, tinkering with the house and electrical items and watching the many types of birds that visited him everyday. He also loved music and was a Jitter Bug Champion in Ft Worth.

Bill has 3 loving sons: William H.( Billy) and his wife Marj, who live in Denver, Robert (Bobby) and his wife Kay in Killeen, Raymond and wife Colleen in Georgetown, and his special Daddy's girl , Joyce Amey and her husband Ryan from Austin. Bill’s pride and joys were his; 7 grandchildren, Garrin, Chad, Courtney, Byron, Kristi, Travis, and Carrie. He was also rewarded with 7 grandchildren-in-laws and 15 great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, who passed away just a short time before him in January 2013. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Bill will be remembered for his wonderful and mischievous sense of humor and his warm and giving heart.

Please join the family in remembering and celebrating his life at a memorial viewing at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove from 10:30 to 12:30.Graveside funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
